Web Ventures, A Division of InMotion Hosting, Acquires Elegant Marketplace
Web Ventures facilitates the acquisition of the WordPress marketplace and Divi ecosystem hub
On the 30th of December 2019 – Elegant Marketplace became part of the InMotion Hosting Family.
For just under 5 years, Elegant Marketplace has been the de facto Vendor Marketplace for Divi theme users. Expanding offerings to the larger WordPress ecosystem of products, including other page builders, has been their game plan more recently.
Resulting growth in user base and vendor products across WordPress has been exciting and, now, becoming part of the InMotion Hosting Family heralds a new era in what Elegant Marketplace can offer vendors, customers and product makers whether in plugin and theme development, hosting, online learning and support.
“I look forward to representing Elegant Marketplace as part of the InMotion Hosting Family at WordCamps, Meetups and Online to a wider audience and ensuring that we are the first choice of product makers and customers whether Freelancers, Agencies or DIYers looking for innovative and cost effective solutions to their sales and web development needs throughout 2020 and beyond.” – Andrew Palmer – Founder, Elegant Marketplace
This is the most recent M&A deal of the newly formed Web Ventures, also part of the InMotion Family, along with W3 Total Cache recently having been announced during WordCamp US in St. Louis back in October. Web Ventures plans to continue investing in WordPress companies, for the foreseeable future, with multiple additional announcements expected at WordCamp Asia & WordCamp Europe in Bangkok, Thailand & Porto, Portugal the first half of 2020.
“We’re excited to have Andrew Palmer and Elegant Marketplace join the family,” commented Sunil Saxena, Web Ventures founder. “We love Andrew’s vision for how Elegant Marketplace can grow and improve the lives and success of their customers, and are happy to have the knowledge and resources to back those visions and help make them a reality much faster.”
